RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0653 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation, Communications and Franchising and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION URGING THE MANAGEMENT OF THE PAMANA WATER CORPORATION--PAGADIAN CITY WATER DISTRICT (PCWD) TO PROVIDE/FURNISH THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD WITH THE NECESSARY PERTINENT DOCUMENTS RELATIVE TO THE APPROVED JOINT VENTURE AS WELL AS THE WATER DISTRIBUTION DEVELOPMENT PLAN, FOR ITS INFORMATION AND REFERENCE, IN AID OF LEGISLATION" WHEREAS, this body is in receipt of a letter-complaint from a concerned resident of the city pertaining to the poor water distribution system of the Pagadian City Water District (PCWD) now under new management of the PAMANA Water Corporation, with a request for intervention for transparency as well as information on the management's short and long term development plan; WHEREAS, finding the foregoing matter of vital importance, the body, through the concerned Committees-to which the matter was initially referred-and taking into consideration the right to information of the details/particulars being undertaken by the said public utility which have direct effect to every water consumer of the city, deems it cogently imperative to urge the management of the PAMANA Water Corporation to provide/furnish the Sangguniang Panlungsod with the necessary pertinent documents relative to their merger as well as the water distribution development plan for its information and reference, in aid of legislation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte, be it RESOLVED to urge, as this body hereby urges the management of PAMANA Water Corporation--Pagadian City Water District (PCWD) to provide/furnish the Sangguniang Panlungsod with the necessary pertinent documents relative to the approved joint venture as well as the water distribution development plan, for its information and reference, in aid of legislation. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the General Manager, PAMANA Water Corporation/Pagadian City Water District, this city, for immediate favorable action.
