RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0627 (Sponsor: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE SOCIAL PARACLETE ASSOCIATION, INCORPORATED, RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NUTRITIONAL-RELATED PROGRAMS TO IMPROVE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF MODERATELY AND SEVERELY MALNOURISHED CHILDREN IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, in line with the mandate to improve the nutritional status of malnourished children in the country, the Social Paraclete Association and the City Government of Pagadian have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of nutrition related programs particularly feeding programs, early childhood education, classes on parenting, health and nutrition education and values formation for parents in the city with the Indigenous People, Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities, Pregnant and Lactating Women as targeted beneficiaries; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing program, there is a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been stipulated--such that a request for authority to enter and sign such deed has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with Social Paraclete Association, Incorporated, relative to the implementation of the nutritional-related programs to improve nutritional status of moderately and severely malnourished children in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the Social Paraclete Association Inc., through its President, Ms. Precious Anne N.
