RESOLUTION NO. 2024-0601 (Sponsor: Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PRE-DESIGNATED PORTIONS OF CITY STREETS THAT WILL BE USED FOR THE VARIOUS ACTIVITIES HIGHLIGHTING THE "PASALAMAT FESTIVAL 2024" ON THE DATES AND TIME OF THE DAY SPECIFIED HEREIN" WHEREAS, Reverend Father Gilbert M. Hingone, Chairman-Fiesta Executive Council 2024 and Cathedral-San Jose Parish Team Moderator, by way of a letter, has sought the temporary closure to vehicular traffic the portions of pre-designated city streets in relation to the traditional celebration of the "Pasalamat Festival 2024" in honor of the Feast of Senor Santo Nino; WHEREAS, for the orderly celebration of the said event, the body, in consideration of the over-all appreciation of the possible scenario with reference to the previous undertakings of the same nature, finds it urgent, practical and necessary for the best interest of the safety and welfare of the general public that temporary road closures be implemented on the dates and times these activities will be undertaken; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the temporary closure of pre-designated portions of city streets that will be used for the various activities highlighting the "Pasalamat Festival 2024" on the following dates and time of the day specified herein, viz: Friday, 12 January 2024 - 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Pasalamat Festival Opening Salvo. F.S. Pajares Avenue: from Wharf Area up to junction Rizal Avenue (right lane); J.P. Rizal Avenue: from corner F.S. Pajares Ave. to J. Ariosa Street (right lane); J. Ariosa Street: from junction J.P. Rizal Avenue to Sanson Street (right lane). Other prohibition: No vehicle parking inside this area. Saturday, 20 January 2024 -3:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, Procession. J. Ariosa Street: from Sto. Nino Cathedral up to J.P. Rizal Avenue (right lane); J.P. Rizal Avenue: from corner J. Ariosa Street to F.S. Pajares Avenue (right lane); F.S. RESOLVED FURTHER, to request the Honorable City Mayor that the Road and Traffic Management Office and the City Security Services Division, both under the Office of the City Mayor, be directed to assign personnel to direct the flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic in all strategic locations and to install appropriate traffic directional signs in all areas during the above-specified dates and time for the information and guidance of the public. RESOLVED, FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and consideration; to the Chief of Police, Pagadian City Police Office, attn: the Chief, Traffic Enforcement Division; to the Chief, Road and Traffic Management Office, City Security Services Division, City Mayor's Office, for reference and appropriate action; and to Rev.
