RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0539 (Sponsor: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL COMMISSION ON SENIOR CITIZENS (NCSC), WITH REFERENCE TO THE FREE USE OF AN OFFICE SPACE LOCATED AT THE FOURTH FLOOR OF THE CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3)" WHEREAS, the National Commission on Senior Citizens (NCSC) has formally signified to establish their Regional Office 9 to Pagadian City, being the Regional Administrative Seat of the Western Mindanao or the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, and has sought support from the City Government with regard to the provision of an appropriate office space purposely to accommodate the said office; WHEREAS, such intention and desire of the aforesaid office is a welcome development of this present administration's resolve to effect the transfer of all regional government offices in the city, thus the City Government is now offering for free the vacant office space with a floor area of 61.20 square meters at the 4th floor of City Commercial Center for a period of four (4) months; WHEREAS, to ensure the pursuance of the foregoing endeavor, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the National Commission on Senior Citizens and the City Government of Pagadian where the specific terms, conditions and responsibilities of the concerned parties are stipulated, such that a request for authority to enter into such deed is being sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the National Commission on Senior Citizens (NCSC), with reference to the free use of an office space located at the Fourth Floor of the City Commercial Center (C3). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable action; to the City Legal Officer; and to Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer, Atty. Franklin M. Quijano, National Commission on Senior Citizens, GD-106 Mabini Hall, Malacanang Palace Grounds, San Rafael St., San Miguel, Manila, 1008 Metro Manila, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
