RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0490 (Sponsor: Committee on Health and Social Services) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING ON THIRD READING DRAFT ORDINANCE NO. 041 AND ORDAINING THE SAME AS CITY ORDINANCE NO.2023-551, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE INSTITUTIONALIZING A DRUG-FREE PUBLIC WORKPLACE IN ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND, FOR THE PURPOSE, MANDATING THE CONDUCT OF DRUG TESTING FOR ALL CITY ELECTIVE OFFICIALS AS WELL AS ALL BARANGAY ELECTIVE AND APPOINTIVE OFFICIALS TO INCLUDE ITS EMPLOYEES/WORKERS" WHEREAS, Draft Ordinance No. 041 was thoroughly considered by this august body on First and Second Reading and has undergone and complied with all the required processes following the determination of its necessity and practicability, hence its consideration on Third and Final Reading was undertaken; WHEREAS, the intent and application of the proposed measure is deemed for the best interest of the general public and thus merit the body's final action and approval; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves on Third Reading Draft Ordinance No. 041 and ordaining the same as City Ordinance No.2023-551, entitled: "An Ordinance institutionalizing a drug-free public workplace in all government offices and, for the purpose, mandating the conduct of drug testing for all city elective officials as well as all barangay elective and appointive officials to include its employees/workers.
