RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0484 (Sponsor: Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF MIGRANT WORKERS (DMW), WITH REFERENCE TO THE FREE RENTAL OF A 103 SQUARE METER-OFFICE SPACE LOCATED AT THE FOURTH FLOOR OF THE CITY COMMERCIAL CENTER (C3), FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MIGRANT WORKERS REGIONAL OFFICE IX" WHEREAS, with the City Government's continued commitment to bring government services closer to the people, the Department of Migrant Workers and the City Government of Pagadian have agreed to establish Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office in the city more particularly at the fourth floor of the City Commercial Center (C3), situated at Barangay Santiago, this city, which accommodation is rental free for a period of three (3) years; WHEREAS, in order to hasten the pursuance of the foregoing endeavor, there is thus a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement by and between the Department of Migrant Workers and the City Government of Pagadian where the specific terms, conditions and responsibilities of the concerned parties are stipulated--such that a request for authority to enter into such deed is being sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr., be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), with reference to the free rental of a 103 Square Meter-Office Space located at the Fourth Floor of the City Commercial Center (C3), for the exclusive use of the Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office IX. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable action; to the City Legal Officer; and to Undersecretary Bernardo P. Ulalia, Department of Migrant Workers, Blas F. Ople Building, Ortigas Avenue, Corner Edsa Avenue, Mandaluyong City, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
