RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0482 (Sponsor: Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO RENEW AND SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT TO BE ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN AND THE DEVELOPMENT BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES (DBP) FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SALARY LOAN FACILITY PROGRAM FOR QUALIFIED OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN"" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, by virtue of Resolution No. 2020-0602, authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) relative to implementation of the latter's Salary Loan Facility program for qualified officials and employees of the city; WHEREAS, information has it that the three (3) years accreditation under the said program had already expired last August 15, 2023, such that the renewal of the said agreement is essential which would require the Honorable City Mayor to be appropriately authorized by the Sangguniang Panlungsod to enter into the same, thus a request for such renewal was made; WHEREAS, this body, recognizing the urgency and importance of the foregoing matter, finds it appropriate and in order to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority to renew the same; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr., be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to renew and sign the Memorandum of Agreement to be entered into by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) for the extension of the implementation of the Salary Loan Facility Program for qualified officials and employees of the City Government of Pagadian. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, the Development Bank of the Philippines through AM Girlie D. Cuartero, Head, DBP Pagadian Branch, this city; and SAVP Romel S. Calapardo, Head, DBP BBG-Western Mindanao, Don P. Lorenzo St., Port Area, Zamboanga City. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
