RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0465 (Sponsor: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING ON SECOND READING, DRAFT ORDINANCE NO.034, ENTITLED: " AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2016-358, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING PROTECTION FOR CHILDREN AT RISK IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL THE EXISTING LAWS THAT PROTECT CHILDREN AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF" AND, THEREBY, IMPOSING A DIRECT AND SINGULAR PENALTY FOR EVERY INFRACTION THEREOF" AND FOR ITS CONSIDERATION ON THIRD AND FINAL READING"" WHEREAS, this body, after thorough consideration of the substance and merits of Draft Ordinance No. 034 on Second Reading, finds the proposed measure within the ambit of authority of the body, aside from its very relevance and practicability under the present circumstances; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to approve, as it hereby approves on Second Reading, Draft Ordinance No.034 entitled: " An Ordinance Amending Section 9 of City Ordinance No. 2016-358, entitled: "An Ordinance Providing Protection for Children At Risk in accordance with all the existing laws that Protect Children and Providing Penalties for the violation thereof" and, thereby, imposing a direct and singular penalty for every infraction thereof" and for its consideration on Third and Final Reading.
