RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0356 (Sponsor: Committee on Ways and Means) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (CSWD) AND THE OFFICE OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS (OSCA) TO SUBMIT TO THE OFFICE OF THE COMMISSION ON AUDIT INSPECTORATE TEAM COPIES OF THE PURCHASE REQUESTS, OBLIGATION REQUESTS, INCLUDING PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE ACTIVITIES IMPLEMENTED BY THE OFFICE AND OTHER RELEVANT PROOFS TO JUSTIFY THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PPAS" WHEREAS, the Commission on Audit, Regional office IX, furnished this august body with a copy of its Audit Observation Memorandum No. 2023-12 (2022), dated March 15, 2023, which provides unfavorable findings concerning the implementation of the programs, projects and activities for the Senior Citizens (SC); WHEREAS, after careful perusal and evaluation, this body, in consideration of the recommendation of the Committee on Ways and Means, to which the foregoing concern was initially referred, deems it necessary to direct the City Social Welfare and Development Office as well as the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs to submit to the Commission on Audit copies of the Purchase Requests, Obligation Requests, and pertinent photographs of the activities implemented to include other relevant documents to justify the implementation of the different programs, projects and activities for the senior citizens of the city, hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) and the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) to submit to the Office of the Commission on Audit Inspectorate Team copies of the Purchase Requests, Obligation Requests, including photographs of the activities implemented by the office and other relevant proofs to justify the implementation of the PPAs. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Social Welfare and Development Officer; and the Head-Senior Citizens Affairs Office, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
