RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0334 (Co - Sponsors: Committee on Agriculture, Fishery and Agrarian Reform and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND DECLARING AS VALID AND OPERATIVE BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO. 02, SERIES 2023, OF THE BARANGAY COUNCIL OF NAPOLAN, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE IN BARANGAY NAPOLAN REGULATING THE OWNERSHIP, CARE AND CUSTODY OF ANIMALS CLASSIFIED AS KENNELS (DOGS), FELINES (CATS), BOVINES (COWS AND CARABAOS), INCLUDING GOATS, PIGS AND HORSES, AND PRESCRIBING FOR THE CONFISCATION, IMPOUNDING AND DISPOSITION OF POTENTIALLY VICIOUS STRAY ANIMALS AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS HEREOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Napolan, this City, enacted Barangay Ordinance No. 02, s. 2023, entitled: "An Ordinance in Barangay Napolan Regulating the Ownership, Care and Custody of Animals Classified as Kennels (dogs), Felines (cats), Bovines (cows and carabaos), Including Goats, Pigs and Horses, and prescribing for the confiscation, impounding and disposition of potentially vicious stray animals and imposing penalties for violations hereof, and for other purposes" and submitted the same to this body for review and confirmation pursuant to the mandate of R.A. 7160; WHEREAS, the Committee on Agriculture, Fishery and Agrarian Reform and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation, to which the foregoing Barangay Ordinance was referred for initial consideration, found the same in order in form and in substance and thus recommended for its confirmation and declaration as operative and in full force and effect, which recommendation merited the concurrence and support of this body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, be it RESOLVED to approve and declare, as this body hereby approves and declares as valid and operative Barangay Ordinance No. 02, series 2023, of the Barangay Council of Napolan, entitled: "An Ordinance in Barangay Napolan Regulating the Ownership, Care and Custody of Animals Classified as Kennels (dogs), Felines (cats), Bovines (cows and carabaos), Including Goats, Pigs and Horses, and prescribing for the confiscation, impounding and disposition of potentially vicious stray animals and imposing penalties for violations hereof, and for other purposes." RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished the Sangguniang Barangay of Napolan through its Punong Barangay; and others concerned for their information and guidance.
