RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0313 (Sponsor: Committee on Health and Social Services) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO RENEW AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE CONTRACT OF SERVICES WITH DR. MARIA CYNTHIA R. HERRERA, M.D., FPSP, AS CITY PATHOLOGIST, FOR PAGADIAN CITY HEALTH OFFICE CLINICAL LABORATORY FOR A SPECIFIC PERIOD FROM JANUARY 01, 2023 TO DECEMBER 31, 2023" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, consistent with its thrust to help address local health concerns more particularly in the operation and maintenance of the Pagadian City Health Office Clinical Laboratory, had engaged the services and expertise of Dr. Maria Cynthia R. Herrera, M.D., FPSP-a licensed medical practitioner specializing in Pathology-through a Contract of Services; WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor, in view of the expiration of the Contract of Services previously entered into by and between the City Government and Dr. Maria Cynthia R. Herrera and considering the need to further extend such services-sought for authority to renew the said contract for a specific period from January 01, 2023 to December 31, 2023, with a monthly honorarium of Five Thousand (P5,000.00) Pesos WHEREAS, this body finds the request of the City Mayor meritorious and worthy of support, hence, granting him the required authority to enter into such contract of services is imperative; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to renew and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Contract of Services with Dr. Maria Cynthia R. Herrera, M.D., FPSP, as City Pathologist for Pagadian City Health Office Clinical Laboratory for a specific period from January 01, 2023 to December 31, 2023. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to Dr. Maria Cynthia R.
