RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0262 (Sponsor: Committee on Planning and Landed Estates) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (DA)-REGIONAL OFFICE IX, WITH REFERENCE TO THE CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT 1, BLOCK 27, CONTAINING AN AREA OF EIGHTEEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE (18,971) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, FOR USE AS SITE OF ITS REGIONAL OFFICE 9" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod adopted Resolution No. 2009-0691, which, in gist, approved the grant, by way of Deeds of Donation, the allocation and distribution of the areas within the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site situated at Barangay Balintawak, this City, to the transferring regional offices of the different national government departments and agencies; WHEREAS, the City Government has identified and defined Lot 1, Block 27, containing an area of Eighteen Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-One (18,971) Square Meters, thereat as site for the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Regional Office IX, after considering its space requirements; WHEREAS, a Deed of Donation for the purpose was endorsed to this body by the Honorable City Mayor with a request for authority to correspondingly sign the document formalizing the allocation of the area which document, upon review, is deemed in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Donation in favor of the Department of Agriculture (DA)-Regional Office IX, with reference to the City Government-owned parcel of land known as Lot 1, Block 27, containing an area of Eighteen Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-One (18,971) Square Meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center in Barangay Balintawak, this city, for use as site of its Regional Office 9. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action; the City Legal Officer; to Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban, Department of Agriculture, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City; to OIC Regional Executive Director Dennis R. Arpia, Lenienza, DA-RO9, this city; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
