RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0261 (Sponsor: Committee on Planning and Landed Estates) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE FOOD AND DRUGS ADMINISTRATION-REGIONAL OFFICE IX, WITH REFERENCE TO THE CITY GOVERNMENT-OWNED PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT 1, BLOCK 21, CONTAINING AN AREA OF TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED (2,500) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER, IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, FOR USE AS SITE OF ITS REGIONAL OFFICE 9, AND THEREBY RENDERING RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1113 AS INEFFECTIVE AND UNENFORCEABLE" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, by virtue of Resolution No. 2021-1113, donated Lot 4, Block 37, containing an area of 1,102 square meters, at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center, Barangay Balintawak, this city, in favor of the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), as site of its regional office IX; WHEREAS, the Food and Drugs Administration-Regional Office IX, by way of a letter-request, sought for a bigger area for the establishment of warehouse and parking space, such that the City Government has identified and defined Lot 1, Block 21, with an area of 2,500 square meters thereat as the new site for the Food and Drugs Administration-Regional Office IX; WHEREAS, premises considered, this body deems it in order to authorize the Honorable City Mayor to correspondingly sign the Deed of Donation formalizing the allocation of the area, and at the same time rendering Resolution No. 2021-1113 as ineffective and unenforceable; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Donation in favor of the Food and Drugs Administration-Regional Office IX, with reference to the City Government-owned parcel of land known as Lot 1, Block 21, containing an area of Two Thousand Five Hundred (2,500) Square Meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center, in Barangay Balintawak, this city, for use as site of its Regional Office 9 and, thereby, rendering Resolution No. 2021-1113 as ineffective and unenforceable. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his reference and appropriate action; the City Legal Officer; the Food and Drugs Administration through its Director General, Dr. Samuel Zacate, Civic Drive, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang, Muntinlupa; and all other offices concerned, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
