RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0239 (Sponsor: Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR AND THE CITY TREASURER TO OPEN AND ESTABLISH A SEPARATE BANK ACCOUNT WITH ANY GOVERNMENT BANK FOR USE AS DEPOSITORY FOR ALL FUNDS OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (PCIC)" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, consistent with its thrust and mandate to provide quality tertiary education, have established the Pagadian City International College through City Ordinance No. 2021-479; WHEREAS, to ensure an effective and efficient management and operation of the said educational institution, it is thus necessary for the Pagadian City International College (PCIC) to open and maintain a separate bank account to be used as depository of all funds coming from the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) or any other government agencies, thus a request for authority to open and establish a separate bank account with any government bank in the city is being sought by the Honorable City Mayor and the City Treasurer; WHEREAS, this body, upon careful perusal and evaluation, deems it urgent and proper to grant the request, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor and the City Treasurer to open and establish a separate bank account with any government bank for use as depository for all funds of the Pagadian City International College (PCIC). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, in his concurring capacity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees- PCIC; and to the City Treasurer, Ms. Nona Grace E. Duran, for their appropriate action; and to Mr. Robert Peter S. Ancheta, Board of Trustee/OIC-College Administrator, Pagadian City International College, for information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
