RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0190 (Sponsor: Committee on Planning and Landed Estates) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO PURCHASE, BY WAY OF A DEED OF ABSOLUTE SALE, A PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY MR. ALLY W. MAGHANOY, REPRESENTED BY MR. NOEL MAGHANOY, KNOWN AS LOT NO. 14451-E-4, CSD-09-011395-D, COVERED BY TAX DECLARATION NO. 2019-001327, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 12,114 SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY, IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION NINE HUNDRED NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TEN (P1,998,810.00) PESOS, WHICH AREA SHALL BE USED/UTILIZED AS AN ADDITIONAL SITE OF THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod (13th City Council), by virtue of Resolution No. 2019-0038, authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to negotiate the purchase of parcels of land, preferably the adjacent lots, for use as additional site of the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center at Barangay Balintawak, this City; WHEREAS, in view thereof, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter, informed this body that a parcel of land-adjacent to the present regional center site-known as Lot No. 14451-E-4, CSD-09-011395-D, specifically covered by Tax Declaration No. 2019-001327, with an area of 12,114 Square Meters, more or less, is being offered for sale to the City Government in the amount based on the appraised value of P165.00 per square meter set by the City Appraisal Committee through its Resolution No. 8, series of 2022, and for which a request for an authority to purchase the same is being sought by the City Chief Executive, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to purchase, by way of a Deed of Absolute Sale, a parcel of land owned by Mr. Ally W. Maghanoy, represented by Mr. Noel Maghanoy, known as Lot No. 14451-E-4, Csd-09-011395-D, covered by Tax Declaration No. 2019-001327, containing an area of 12,114 Square Meters, situated at Barangay Balintawak, this city, in the amount of One Million Nine Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Ten (P1,998,810.00) Pesos, which area shall be used/utilized as an additional site of the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information, guidance and appropriate action.
