RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0182 (Sponsor: Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SETTLEMENTS AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (DHSUD) WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE "PAMBANSANG PABAHAY PARA SA PILIPINO: ZERO ISF PROGRAM FOR 2028" IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act No. 11201, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has launched the "Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino: Zero ISF Program for 2028" which aims to build One Million housing units per year or a total of Six Million housing units for 6 years; WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, in line with its thrust and mandate to provide the informal settlers of the city with a decent homes and, in support of the housing program of the national government, is committed to identify and allocate parcel/s of land in favor of DHSUD purposely for the development of housing project/s; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful implementation of the foregoing program, the formal forging of a Memorandum of Understanding by and between the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development and the City Government of Pagadian is necessary where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been specified--such that a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr., be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) with reference to the implementation of the "Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino: Zero ISF Program for 2028" in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, represented by Honorable Secretary Jose Rizalino L. Acuzar, through Undersecretary Samuel T. Young, Kalayaan Avenue, Corner Mayaman Street, Diliman, Quezon City, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
