RESOLUTION NO. 2023-0175 (Sponsor: Committee on Education, Science and Technology and Accreditation of Pos and NGOs) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE CONTRACT OF AFFILIATION WITH THE JH CERILLES STATE COLLEGE IN RELATION TO THE HANDS-ON TRAINING OF THE SCHOOL'S NURSING STUDENTS AT THE CITY HEALTH OFFICE" WHEREAS, in line with the schools related learning experience which requires nursing students to have a Community Health Nursing Rotation as part of the Nursing Curriculum, the JH Cerilles State College sought permission from the City Government for a hands-on training of their nursing students at the City Health Office, which request was favorably forwarded by the Honorable City Mayor with a request for an authority to enter into a Contract of Affiliation; WHEREAS, considering the favorable recommendation of the concerned Committee, to which the foregoing matter was initially referred, and after finding the same to be most beneficial and advantageous to the delivery of basic health services while at the same time provide for the needed training and experience of aspiring nurses, this body deems it prim and proper to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority, hence, this passage; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Monique Shaira Y. To, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Contract of Affiliation with the JH Cerilles State College in relation to the hands-on training of the school's nursing students at the City Health Office. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the President, Dr. Mary Jocelyn V. Battung, JH Cerilles State College, Barangay Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
