RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1677

"A RESOLUTION URGING ALL COMMERCIAL AND/OR INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS, BOTH PUBLIC AND PRIVATE, EXISTING AND OPERATING IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN TO REQUIRE, AS A REQUISITE, THE PRESENTATION OF VACCINATION CARDS OR ANY PROOF OF VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19 PRIOR TO ALLOW ENTRY OR ADMISSION OF ANY PERSON(S) TO THEIR RESPECTIVE ESTABLISHMENTS"

WHEREAS, notwithstanding the City Government's initiative and steadfast effort to vaccinate the city residents against the COVID-19, official records however, revealed that Pagadian City is still way below the inoculated senior citizens percentage threshold required so as to achieve the needed population protection; 
WHEREAS, in view of the foregoing predicament, the City Government is now adopting the whole-of-the-people approach to ensure that no one will be left behind, such that regulating the movement of the people will necessarily help prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 as well as keep them away from being infected with such disease;
WHEREAS, premises considered, it is now imperatively necessary to request all commercial and/or industrial establishments, whether public or private, existing and operating in the city to compel all individuals to present their respective vaccination cards against COVID-19 prior to their entry to their respective establishment; 
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it
RESOLVED to urge, as this body hereby urges all commercial and/or industrial establishments, both public and private, existing and operating in the City of Pagadian to require, as a requisite, the presentation of vaccination cards or any proof of vaccination against COVID-19 prior to allow entry or admission of any person(s) to their respective establishments. 
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Honorable City Mayor; to Executive Director Audrey B. Cabato, Emergency Operations Center, and all others concerned, for information and dissemination.
