RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1675 (Sponsored By: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT (DOLE) RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF JOBSTART PHILIPPINES PROGRAMS" WHEREAS, with its mandate to help provide jobseekers with vast opportunities for employment, the City Government of Pagadian, under this present administration of Honorable Samuel S. Co, have worked in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Regional Office 9 for the implementation of the JobStart Philippines Programs which aims to abridge school-to-work transition of the formative years by enhancing the knowledge and skills they have acquired in their formal education or technical training for them to become more competitive and receptive to the mandate of the employment market; WHEREAS, to effectively pursue the foregoing project, there is an urgent need to formalize the same through a Memorandum of Agreement where the duties and responsibilities of the parties concerned are properly delineated, thus, authorizing the City Chief Executive to enter and represent the City Government in the formulation of such deed is most appropriate at this prevailing circumstance; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) relative to the implementation of JobStart Philippines Programs. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through Regional Director Roy L. Buenafe, DOLE-Regional Office 9, Evangelista St., Zamboanga City; and to Assistant Secretary Dominique R. Tutay, concurrent Director of the Bureau of Local Employment-DOLE, 7th Floor, DOLE Building, Intramuros, Manila, for their information and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
