RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1673 (Sponsored By: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF THE OUTSTANDING ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION OF THE PAGADIAN CITY INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE FROM JULY 2021 UP TO THE PRESENT AND AUTHORIZING, FOR THE PURPOSE, THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ALLOCATE APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE" WHEREAS, consistent with its thrust and mandate to provide quality tertiary education in the City, the City Government of Pagadian had established the Pagadian City International College-a local tertiary school-at the Pagadian City Pilot Complex particularly the portion formerly occupied by the Pagadian City Science High School in Barangay San Jose, this City; WHEREAS, during its opening and regular operation on July 2021--while the application of the City Government for an independent power connection for such educational institution is yet due for approval by the public utility provider--the Pagadian City International College's electrical connection is temporarily attached to the main line of the Pagadian City Pilot School until this present where the accumulated electricity consumption is now due for payment to be computed out of the difference of the electric bill of the Pagadian City Pilot School's average monthly bill for the last three (3) months; WHEREAS, it is only prudent that this financial obligation be immediately settled so as not to sacrifice the operation of both institutions, thus authorizing the Honorable City Mayor to allocate appropriate funds for the payment of such outstanding electricity consumption is most necessary at this prevailing circumstance; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the payment of the outstanding electricity consumption of the Pagadian City International College from July 2021 up to the present and authorizing, for the purpose, the Honorable City Mayor to allocate appropriate funds for the purpose. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; the City Auditor; and Mr. Robert Peter S. Ancheta, OIC-Administrator, Pagadian City International College, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
