"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE CONTRACT OF SERVICES WITH THE CELEBRITY PLAYERS FOR THE CONDUCT OF AN ALL-STAR BASKETBALL GAME AS ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS DURING THE CELEBRATION OF THE "53RD ARAW NG PAGADIAN"

WHEREAS, on 21 June 2022, the City Government of Pagadian will be celebrating its 53rd Charter Anniversary dubbed as the "53rd Araw ng Pagadian" with the theme "Pagadian Rising Amidst the Challenges: Celebrating 53 Years of Resilience, Unity and Progress," and among the highlight activities will be an All-Star Basketball Game which will feature famous celebrities showcasing their talent in basketball game;

WHEREAS, to hasten the pursuance of the foregoing program, there is thus a need for a formal forging of Contract of Services by and between the City Government of Pagadian and celebrity players where the duties and responsibilities of both parties including the payment of talent fee as well as travelling and accommodation expenses have been specified--for which a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor which request, upon careful perusal and evaluation, merited the support and concurrence of this body; 

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it

RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter and sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Contract of Services with the celebrity players for the conduct of an All-Star Basketball Game in connection with the celebration of the "53rd Araw ng Pagadian."

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; and others concerned for their information and guidance.
