RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1640 (Sponsored by: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE AMENDED DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE LAND TRANSPORTATION FRANCHISING AND REGULATORY BOARD (LTFRB), WITH REFERENCE TO THE USE OF LOT NO. 1, BLOCK 26, CONTAINING AN AREA OF THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE (3,251) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, this body, by virtue of Resolution No. 2021-1321, authorized the donation of Lot No. 1, Block 1, containing an area of Three Thousand (3,000) square meters, within the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center Complex to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) as site of its regional office for Zamboanga Peninsula Region 9; WHEREAS, the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board, by way of a letter, requested for the relocation of the previously donated lot area in view of the existing NGCP Tower inside the area, which request was found reasonable by the City Chief Executive who then sought for authority to enter into and sign an amended Deed of Donation that shall reflect another site specifically Lot No. 1, Block 26 with an area of 3,251 square meters; WHEREAS, this body, after careful perusal and evaluation, deems it appropriate and in order to approve the foregoing request as it found it necessary to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to execute and sign such deed; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Amended Deed of Donation in favor of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), with reference to the use of Lot No. 1, Block 26, containing an area of Three Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-One (3,251) square meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site in Barangay Balintawak, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, that Resolution No. 2021-1321 is hereby rescinded and declared ineffective. RESOLVED FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the Regional Director, PBGen Johnson C. Almazan (RET), Land transportation Franchising Regulatory Board, 2/F QNS., Veterans Extension, Zamboanga City, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
