RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1639 (Sponsored by: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE AMENDED DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (CDA), WITH REFERENCE TO THE USE OF LOT NO. 1, BLOCK 23, CONTAINING AN AREA OF THREE THOUSAND (3,000) SQUARE METERS, SITUATED AT THE PRESIDENT CORAZON C. AQUINO REGIONAL CENTER SITE IN BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, this body authorized the donation of Lot No. 2, Block 21, containing an area of One Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-Eight (1,228) square meters, through Resolution No. 2021-1044 and Lot No. 4 Block 2-A, containing an area of Three Thousand (3,000) square meters through Resolution No. 2021-1393, both within the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center Complex to the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) as site of its regional office for Zamboanga Peninsula Region 9; WHEREAS, it was found out-after an ocular inspection-that a portion of it is still in the process of negotiation by the City Government for its procurement thus, the Cooperative Development Authority requested for another area, which request was deemed reasonable by the City Chief Executive who then sought for authority to enter into and sign an amended Deed of Donation that shall reflect another site specifically Lot No. 1, Block 23 with an area of 3,000 square meters; WHEREAS, this body, after careful perusal and evaluation, deems it appropriate and in order to approve the foregoing request as it found it necessary to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to execute and sign the foregoing deed; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Amended Deed of Donation in favor of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), with reference to the use of Lot No. 1, Block 23, containing an area of Three Thousand (3,000) square meters, situated at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site in Barangay Balintawak, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, that previous Resolution Nos. 2021-1044 and 2021-1393 are deemed rescinded and declared ineffective. RESOLVED FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to the Undersecretary, Joseph B. Encabo, Cooperative Development Authority, 827 Aurora Blvd., Service Road, Barangay Immaculate Conception Cubao, 1111 Quezon City, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
