"A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE HANGOP KABATAAN FOUNDATION INCORPORATED, WITH REFERENCE TO THE EXTENSION OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND (P200,000.00) PESOS AS CITY GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS FOR THE WELFARE OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS PURSUANT TO CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2016-364"

WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, in strengthening the pursuit of programs and initiatives for the welfare and development of children, has enacted City Ordinance No. 2016-364, entitled: "An Ordinance Institutionalizing the Provision under the Budget an Appropriation for the Implementation of a Community Based Program for Special Children in the Yearly Amount of not less than One Hundred Thousand (P100,000.00) Pesos";

WHEREAS, in relation thereto, the City Government of Pagadian is committed to provide financial assistance to the Hangop Kabataan Foundation Incorporated in the amount of P200,000.00 to support the implementation of programs and projects for the welfare of children with special needs;

WHEREAS, Section 5 (a) of City Ordinance No. 2016-364 expressly provides that financial assistance may only be released upon the formulation of a Memorandum of Agreement, such that the Honorable City Mayor has sought for authority to represent the City Government in the formal forging of such deed--which request, upon careful perusal and evaluation, merited the support and concurrence of this august body;

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it

RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Hangop Kabataan Foundation Incorporated, with reference to the extension of Two Hundred Thousand (P200,000.00) Pesos as City Government assistance for the implementation of programs and projects for the welfare of children with special needs pursuant to City Ordinance No. 2016-364.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the Program Director, Ms. Erlinda B. Aure, Hangop Kabataan Foundation Inc.; to the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; and the City Auditor, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
