RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1587 (Sponsored by: Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE MANAGEMENT OF THE DIFFERENT BANKING INSTITUTIONS OPERATING IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN TO INSTALL AND/OR ESTABLISH COLLAPSIBLE SHELTER (TENTS) AS WELL AS PROVIDE MONOBLOC PLASTIC CHAIRS FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THEIR CLIENTS/CUSTOMERS WHILE QUEUING/WAITING FOR THEIR TURN TO ENTER THE BANK" WHEREAS, presently, the unpleasant and regrettable condition now occurring at the different banking institutions in the city where there is a long queue of clients/customers waiting outside for their turn to be accommodated inside the bank cannot just be ignored and understated; WHEREAS, while this august body understands that such situation is due to the strict implementation of the minimum public health protocol in order to contain, if not prevent, the spread of COVID-19, however, such procedure/method has observably caused discomfort and inconvenience to all their clients/customers more particularly the senior citizens, pregnant women and persons with disability who may have transactions thereat; WHEREAS, premises considered, this august body, in line with its thrust and mandate to ensure the protection and safety of the public, deems it imperative for the Honorable City Mayor to make the necessary intervention with the management of the different banking institutions to remedy the foregoing situation, hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the management of the different banking institutions operating in the City of Pagadian to install and/or establish collapsible shelter (tents) as well as provide monobloc plastic chairs for the convenience of their clients/customers while queuing/waiting for their turn to enter the bank. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
