"A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY ENGINEER TO IMMEDIATELY INSPECT AND SURVEY THE LOW-LYING AREAS OF BARANGAY SANTA LUCIA PARTICULARLY THE STRETCH OF JAMISOLA STREET AND W.P. PULMONES STREET AND, IF POSSIBLE, INSTITUTE MEASURES TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF FLOODING IN THESE AREAS"

WHEREAS, observation has it that portions of Jamisola Street and W.P. Pulmones Street at Barangay Santa Lucia are usually submerged under flood waters during heavy downpour which causes delays and difficulties to the residents, travellers and commuters passing-by these areas, thus, becoming a traffic and health hazard to the populace of the city; 
WHEREAS, a thorough assessment of the over all situation to facilitate the introduction and institution of corrective technical intervention to the present situation is urgent and necessary in the area which is a basic and essential government infrastructure facility, hence, requesting the City Chief Executive to commission the City Engineer for the purpose is most appropriate at this prevailing situation; 
NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it
RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Engineer to immediately inspect and survey the low-lying areas of Barangay Santa Lucia particularly the stretch of Jamisola Street and W.P. Pulmones Street and, if possible, institute measures to solve the problem of flooding in these areas. 
RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, for favorable consideration; and to the City Engineer, for his guidance and appropriate action.
