Pameron) "A RESOLUTION GRATEFULLY ACKNOWLEDGING AND RECOGNIZING THE 53RD INFANTRY BATALLION-FIRST INFANTRY "TABAK" DIVISION, PHILIPPINE ARMY, THROUGH ITS COMMANDING OFFICER, LIEUTENANT COLONEL JO-AR A. HERRERA, FOR THEIR EARNEST EFFORT AND INTIATIVE IN CONDUCTING THE LOCAL PEACE FORUM IN CONNECTION WITH THE FORTHCOMING NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS ON MAY 9, 2022, AS WELL AS IN MAINTAINING NEUTRALITY AND ENFORCING A WELL-PLANNED SECURITY PLAN IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR AND PAGADIAN CITY" WHEREAS, on 25 April 2022, the 53rd Infantry Battalion-First Infantry "Tabak" Division, Philippine Army, and the Philippine National Police through the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office and the Pagadian City Police Station, jointly conducted the Local Peace Forum for National and Local Elections 2022 at Springland Resort, Barangay Tuburan, this city, where all mayoral, vice mayoral and councilor aspirants of the city were invited to discuss security measures that will be established during the conduct of the national and local elections come May 9, 2022; WHEREAS, the initiative demonstrated by the 53rd Infantry Battalion-First Infantry "Tabak" Division, Philippine Army, as well as their assurance and commitment to remain independent and apolitical during the election may have helped alleviate/appease the political situation of Pagadian City and the entire province of Zamboanga del Sur and will surely contribute to the desire of the local residents to have an honest, orderly and peaceful election; WHEREAS, such gesture of the 53rd Infantry Battalion-First Infantry "Tabak" Division, Philippine Army is worthy of this august body's sincere appreciation and recognition; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to gratefully acknowledge and recognize the 53rd Infantry Battalion-First Infantry "Tabak" Division, Philippine Army, through its Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Jo-Ar A. Herrera, for their earnest effort and initiative in conducting the Local Peace Forum in connection with the forthcoming national and local elections on May 9, 2022, as well as in maintaining neutrality and enforcing a well-planned security plan in the province of Zamboanga del Sur and Pagadian City. RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Lieutenant Colonel Jo-Ar A. Herrera, Commanding Officer, 53rd Infantry Battalion-First Infantry "Tabak" Division, Philippine Army, Camp Major David P. Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, for their information and reference.
