Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH)-ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA-CENTER FOR HEALTH DEVELOPMENT RELATIVE TO THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FOR THE MEALS, ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION (MAT) BENEFITS OF HEALTH CARE WORKERS (HCW's) OF PAGADIAN CITY COVERING THE SPECIFIC PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 15, 2020 UP TO DECEMBER 19, 2020" WHEREAS, pursuant to a Memorandum, dated December 3, 2021, issued by the Office of the President, the Department of Health issued Administrative Order No. 2021-0062, dated December 16, 2021, which, in gist, provides the guidelines on the provision of meals, accommodation, and transportation (MAT) benefits as cash equivalent to public and private health care workers for the period of September 15, 2020 up to December 19, 2020; WHEREAS, in view thereof, the Department of Health, by virtue of Department Order No. 2021-0587, is required to transfer funds in the total amount of Two Million Four Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Five Hundred (P2,446,500.00) Pesos to the City Government of Pagadian to cover the cost of the grant of MAT benefits to health care workers of the city; WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the early and successful transfer of such funds and effectively pursue the distribution of the same, a Memorandum of Agreement has to be forged by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the Department of Health-Zamboanga Peninsula-Center for Health Development, thus there is a need to officially authorize the City Chief Executive to enter into and represent the City Government in the formulation of such agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Health (DOH)-Zamboanga Peninsula-Center for Health Development relative to the transfer of funds for the Meals, Accommodation and Transportation (MAT) benefits of health care workers (HCW's) of Pagadian City covering the specific period from September 15, 2020 up to December 19, 2020. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for appropriate action; to Regional Director Joshua G. Brillantes, MD, MPH, CESE, DOH-Zamboanga Peninsula-Center for Health Development; and the City Legal Officer, for information, guidance and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
