RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1549 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Youth Welfare, juvenile Delinquency and Drug Abuse Prevention; Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation; and Committee on Education, Science and Technology and Accreditation of NGOs and POs) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER THE CREATION AND ORGANIZATION OF A TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP THAT SHALL BE TASKED TO FORMULATE A COMPREHENSIVE BOOK IN RELATION TO THE LOCAL HISTORY OF PAGADIAN CITY" WHEREAS, the essence and importance of better understanding the development and progress of a certain community is to ponder upon its past or history for which proper account or chronicle of its existence or evolution must be inscribed and imparted to the younger generation by incorporating the same in all elementary and high school curriculum of the city; WHEREAS, this body, finding the need to preserve the local history of the city and, in support to the favorable recommendation of the concerned Committees-to which the foregoing matter was initially referred-deems it prim and proper to create and organize a Technical Working Group who shall be tasked to study and formulate the city's local history, hence, requesting the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is most appropriate; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to favorably consider the creation and organization of a Technical Working Group that shall be tasked to formulate a comprehensive book in relation to the local history of Pagadian City. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
