RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1524 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT (DOLE)-REGIONAL OFFICE 9, RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DOLE-GOVERNMENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, in line with the mandate to provide government interns, particularly the poor/indigent, the opportunity to demonstrate their talents and skills in the field of public service with the ultimate objective of attracting the best and brightest who want to pursue a career in government service, the Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office 9 have collaborated with the City Government of Pagadian for the implementation of the DOLE-Government Internship Program in the city; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing program, there is a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement where the duties and responsibilities of both parties have been stipulated--such that a request for authority to enter and sign such deed has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which request merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Regional Office 9, relative to the implementation of the DOLE-Government Internship Program in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable action; to the City Legal Officer; and the Regional Director, Atty. Roy L. Buenafe, DOLE-Regional Office 9, Cortez Building, Evangelista Street, Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City, and all concerned for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
