RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1504 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO EXTEND THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND (P350,000.00) PESOS AS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE PEOPLE OF MAASIN CITY, SOUTHERN LEYTE, WHO WERE BADLY HIT BY SUPER TYPHOON "ODETTE" WHEREAS, a super typhoon with an international name "Rai" and locally known as "Odette" hit the northeastern portion of Mindanao as well as the Visayas Regions last December 16, 2021, where many Local Government Units in the areas have been greatly affected by such disastrous phenomenon; WHEREAS, among the places badly hit by typhoon "Odette" was the City of Maasin in Southern Leyte where many of their local residents rendered homeless after the onslaught still remain in evacuation centers until the present due to the devastation of such disastrous mishap but are hoping for monetary support for our generous hearts; WHEREAS, with the urgency of the foregoing intention, this body deems it cogently pressing, under the situation, to extend such monetary assistance to the City of Maasin; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to extend the amount of Three Hundred Fifty Thousand (P350,000.00) pesos, as financial assistance for the people of Maasin City who were badly hit by Super Typhoon Odette. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, the City Budget Officer, the City Accountant, the City Treasurer, and the City Auditor, all of this City, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
