RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0147 (Sponsor: Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co) "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF THE WESTERN LANE OF F.S. PAJARES AVENUE FROM THE CORNER OF P.L. URRO STREET TO THE CORNER OF V. SAGUN STREET EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 07, 2022 TO JANUARY 22, 2023, IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S CELEBRATION OF THE "PASKUHAN 2022" AND THE FORTHCOMING "PASALAMAT FESTIVAL 2023" ON 21 JANUARY 2023" WHEREAS, the City will once again celebrate the Yuletide Season by launching the traditional "Paskuhan 2022" and the forthcoming "Pasalamat Festival 2023", a City Government initiated activity that coincides with the observance of the City's Fiesta on January 21, 2022; WHEREAS, the Executive Department sought for the temporary closure of a segment of the western lane of F.S. Pajares Avenue from junction P.L. Urro Street and junction V. Sagun Street, purposely to allow the staging of the Pagadian Paskuhan Night Market as well as the display and sale of different local products and goods, to make the occasion more meaningful, economically beneficial and attractive to residents, guests and visitors alike; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to approve, as this body hereby approves the temporary closure of a portion of the western lane of F.S. Pajares Avenue from the corner of P.L. Urro Street to the corner of V. Sagun Street effective December 07, 2022 to January 22, 2023, in connection with the City's celebration of the "Paskuhan 2022" and the forthcoming "Pasalamat Festival 2023" on 21 January 2023. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor; the Chief of Police, Pagadian City Police Office, attn.: the Chief, Traffic Management Section; the Head, Road Traffic Management Office, City Mayor's Office; and the City Engineer, for their information, guidance and reference.
