RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0138 (Sponsor: Committee on Planning and Landed Estates) "A RESOLUTION REMANDING, WITHOUT ACTION, TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR HIS REQUEST FOR THE RECALL OF SP RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0249 AND FOR THE PASSAGE OF A NEW RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIM TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE DEED OF DONATION IN FAVOR OF THE COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS (COMELEC) REGIONAL OFFICE IX, WITH REFERENCE TO THE CITY GOVERNMENT OWNED PARCEL OF LAND KNOWN AS LOT NO. 7, BLOCK 21, CONTAINING AN AREA OF 2,000 SQUARE METERS AT BARANGAY BALINTAWAK, THIS CITY" WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor, by way of a letter-endorsement, sought for the recall of Resolution No. 2019-0249 entitled: "A Resolution Authorizing the Honorable City Mayor to donate, by way of a Deed of Donation, Lot No. 2, Block No. 9 at the President Corazon C. Aquino Regional Center site in barangay Balintawak, this City, with an area of 1,182 square meters, in favor of the Commission on Election (COMELEC), Regional Office IX" and instead requests for the passage of a new resolution authorizing him to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Donation in favor of COMELEC R-IX, with reference to the City Government owned parcel of land known as lot No. 7, Block 21, containing an area of 2,000 square meters at Barangay Balintawak, this City; WHEREAS, the body, in consideration of the information provided by the Committee on Planning and Landed Estates, to which matter was initially referred, that there was an error in the technical description relative to the new lot which is the subject of donation in favor of the COMELEC, deems it appropriate and in order to momentarily remand, without action, the letter-request of the Honorable City Mayor pending the new endorsement with the correct technical description of the lot to be donated; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Monique Shaira Y. To, be it RESOLVED to remand, as this body hereby remands, without action, to the Honorable City Mayor his request for the recall of SP Resolution No. 2019-0249 and for the passage of a new resolution authorizing him to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Deed of Donation in favor of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Regional Office IX, with reference to the City Government Owned parcel of land known as Lot No. 7, Block 21, containing an area of 2,000 square meters at Barangay Balintawak, this city. RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
