RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0135 (Sponsor: Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION MANIFESTING THE INTEREST OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN TO AVAIL OF THE GRANT-IN-AID (GIA) PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (DOST) AND AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO SIGN ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO" WHEREAS, in line with the national government's commitment to ensure the country's sustainable growth and development, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has launched its Grant-In-Aid Program to LGUs which aims to provide assistance to the different Local Government Units to help improve their scientific and technological capabilities for the benefit of their constituents; WHEREAS, in view thereof, the City Government through the Honorable City Mayor, in a letter addressed to the Department of Science and Technology through its Provincial Director, has signified intention to avail of the said program purposely for the improvement of the Laboratory Equipment for Banana Tissue Culture as well as for the procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for Mushroom Demonstration Farm, both situated at Barangay Macasing, this city; WHEREAS, after finding the afore-mentioned program most beneficial to the people of Pagadian City as it could greatly help improve the livelihood of the agricultural sector, it is thus necessary to manifest this august body's strong support to the City Government's intention to avail of the said program and to grant the Honorable City Mayor the necessary authority to sign any and all documents relating to the processing, approval and release of such DOST's Grant-In-Aid; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr., be it RESOLVED to manifest, as this body hereby manifests the interest of the City Government of Pagadian to avail of the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) Program of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and authorizing Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to sign any and all documents relating thereto. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and favorable consideration; and to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) through Provincial Director Gerardo F.
