RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0134 (Sponsor: Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas.) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ENTERED INTO BY, BETWEEN AND AMONG THE REGIONAL GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION NETWORK IX (RGIN IX)--A NETWORK OF VARIOUS GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS (LGUS), STATE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES (SUCs), HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS (HEIs), AND PRIVATE SECTOR" WHEREAS, the Regional Development Council IX (RDC-IX), through Resolution No. 109, series of 2021, established the Regional Geographic Information Network IX (RGIN-IX) which is composed of various government agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and Private Sector which aims to facilitate efficient sharing and access to accurate and up-to-date spatial resources of the members subject to the data standards and policies set by RGIN-IX to ensure proper uploading, storage, management and sharing of maps and spatial data and other resources; WHEREAS, in view thereof, the Honorable City Mayor--after finding the sharing of spatial data within RGIN-IX vital and useful in strengthening the city government's policymaking, development planning, research, investment programming and budgeting-- expressed intention to take part and participate in such endeavor for which a Memorandum of Understanding relative to the data sharing agreement within the Regional Geographic Information Network-IX has been favorably endorsed with a further request for authority to enter and sign such deed; WHEREAS, this body, after finding urgency and importance, deems it imperative to clothe the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to represent the City Government of Pagadian in the formal forging of such Memorandum of Understanding; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the Memorandum of Understanding entered into by, between and among the Regional Geographic Information Network-IX (RGIN-IX)--a network of various Government Agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and private sector. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co; the City Legal Officer; and the Regional Geographic Information Network IX, through Regional Director Phlorita A. Ridao, NEDA IX, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action.
