RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0128 (Sponsor: Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa) "A RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY DECLARING LIEUTENANT COLONEL JO-AR A. HERRERA, PA, COMMANDING OFFICER-53RD INFANTRY BATTALION, AS ADOPTED SON OF THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, Lieutenant Colonel Jo-ar A. Herrera, PA, during his tour of duty as the Commanding Officer of the 53rd Infantry Battalion, has been instrumental in the declaration of Pagadian City as Insurgency-Free following the dismantling of the two (2) units of the New People's Army (NPA) operating in the province of Zamboanga del Sur--which declaration has greatly contributed to the relatively peaceful and orderly situation of the city as well as the realization of the long desire of the Pagadianons for lasting peace; WHEREAS, Lieutenant Colonel Herrera had also demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedicated service when he played a significant role and provided all necessary support to the city government's fight against the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19); WHEREAS, such gestures exhibited by Lieutenant Colonel Jo-ar A. Herrera are indicative of his earnest efforts and all-out support to the people of Pagadian and bespeaks of his personal zeal to extend the services of the government where such are most needed; WHEREAS, the entire populace of Pagadian City humbly acknowledges with gratefulness this auspicious deed of Lieutenant Colonel Jo-ar A. Herrera such that it is only fitting to accord him the privilege of becoming its "Adopted Son;" NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ronald Christopher Glenn L. Ariosa, be it RESOLVED to officially declare, as this body hereby officially declares Lieutenant Colonel Jo-ar A. Herrera, PA, Commanding Officer-53rd Infantry Battalion, as Adopted Son of the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Lieutenant Colonel Jo-ar A. Herrera, PA, through His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information, guidance and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY. I HEREBY CERTIFY to the correctness of the foregoing resolution.
