RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0116 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation and Committee on Barangay Affairs) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE 54 BARANGAY GOVERNMENT UNITS WITHIN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN TO TAKE NOTE AND ADHERE TO DILG MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2022-131, DATED OCTOBER 20, 2022, WHICH, IN GIST, MANDATED THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ONLINE PROCESSING OF DEATH AND BURIAL BENEFIT OF BARANGAY OFFICIALS WHO DIED DURING THEIR INCUMBENCY TO INCLUDE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE'S MANDATORY REPRESENTATIVE (IPMRs) IN BARANGAY PURSUANT TO EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 139, S. 2021" WHEREAS, this august body received a copy of DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2022-131, dated October 20, 2022, on the subject: "Amendment to the DILG Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2018-17 on the on-line processing of death and burial benefits of Barangay Officials who died during their term of office, in connection with the implementation of Executive Order No. 115, to include death and burial benefits of Indigenous People's Mandatory Representative (IPMRs) in Barangay pursuant to Executive Order No. s. 2021; WHEREAS, the Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation and Committee on Barangay Affairs, to which the foregoing concern was referred, recommended that the said Memorandum Circular be disseminated to all barangays of the city for their information and guidance, hence, requesting the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is most in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Patrisha Kaye N. Asugas, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the 54 Barangay Government Units within the City of Pagadian to take note and adhere to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2022-131, dated October 20, 2022, which, in gist, mandated the implementation of the online processing of death and burial benefit of barangay officials who died during their incumbency to include Indigenous People's Mandatory Representative (IPMRs) in barangay pursuant to Executive Order No. 139, s. 2021 RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable action; and to the 54 Barangay Units of the city of Pagadian through the President of the Liga ng mga Barangay, Honorable Jurofer P. Pulmones, for widest dissemination.
