RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0104 (Sponsor: Committee on Health and Social Services) "A RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT, WITH REFERENCE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 11037 otherwise known as "Masustansyang Pagkain Para Sa Batang Pilipino," the Department of Social Welfare and Development in coordination with the Local Government of Pagadian City have agreed to concertedly pursue the implementation of Supplementary Feeding Program for undernourished children ages 3-5 years old enrolled in the Child Development Centers (CDC's) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNPs) in line with the DSWD's contribution to the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program of the government; WHEREAS, to effectively and efficiently pursue this particular program, the Honorable City Mayor requested that he be accorded the authority to represent the City Government in the formal forging of the Memorandum of Agreement with the DSWD--which request, upon careful evaluation and, in consideration of the favorable recommendation of the concerned Committee, to which the matter was initially referred, merited the support and approval of this august body, hence, this authority; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it RESOLVED to grant, as this body hereby grants authority to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, with reference to the implementation of the Supplementary Feeding Program in the City of Pagadian. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the City Social Welfare and Development Officer; and to the Department of Social Welfare and Development through Regional Director Riduan P. Hadjimuddin, DSWD-Regional Office 9, all of this city, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
