RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0102 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation, Communications and Franchising and Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO ALLOCATE APPROPRIATE FUNDS PURPOSELY TO PURCHASE FOURTEEN (14) UNITS OF BRAND-NEW COMPUTER LAPTOP FOR USE OF THE CITY VICE MAYOR, SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD MEMBERS AND THE SECRETARY OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD IN CONNECTION WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD PAPERLESS SESSION PURSUANT TO CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2019-420" WHEREAS, pursuant to City Ordinance No. 2019-420, entitled: "An Ordinance Institutionalizing the Conduct of Paperless Sessions by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pagadian City," the previous set of the Council has opted to implement the paperless system of legislation using the computer technology applications; WHEREAS, the system allows access to relevant documents necessary for the discharge of its legislative functions via the world wide web and where public opinion and comments or personal perspective on proposed legislations may be posted without having to physically present the same as a matter of input; WHEREAS, with the assumption of the 14th City Council last July 01, 2022, the paperless system of legislation was no longer implemented for some of the laptop previously purchased for the purpose are no longer in good working condition or rather outmoded, such that the body, in support of the favorable recommendation of the concerned Committees-to which the matter was initially referred, finds it prim and proper to request the Honorable City Mayor to allocate appropriate funds for the purchase of computer laptops for use of the Sangguniang Panlungsod paperless system of legislation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Monique Shairah Y. To, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to allocate appropriate funds purposely to purchase fourteen (14) units of brand-new computer laptop for use of the City Vice Mayor, the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members and the Secretary of the Sangguniang Panlungsod in connection with the implementation of the Sangguniang Panlungsod paperless session pursuant to City Ordinance No. 2019-420. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
