RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0096 (Sponsor: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety) " A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP)-REGIONAL OFFICE IX TO ASSIGN ADDITIONAL POLICE PERSONNEL IN THE PAGADIAN CITY POLICE STATION FOR CRIME PREVENTION AND SECURITY PURPOSES" WHEREAS, with the recently occurred shooting incident which took place at the gated Provincial Government Complex, situated at Barangay Dao, this city, has stirred the consciousness of the residents with regard to the capacity and capability of the local police to uphold and maintain the peace and order situation of the city; WHEREAS, as can be observed, the present number of police personnel and officers assigned in the city could hardly cope up in the campaign against all forms of criminality, much less address and resolve the same; WHEREAS, there is thus an urgent need to seek reinforcement of the present number of police personnel assigned in the city in order to effectively resolve criminal incidents, restore local peace and order, as well as public confidence in the PNP; WHEREAS, premises considered, the assignment of additional police personnel and officers in Pagadian City will indispensably and certainly help in the planned sectoral operation of the city police force as a measure to enable the police to respond, resolve and abate incidents of crime; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body requests the Regional Director of the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Regional Office IX to assign additional police personnel in the Pagadian City Police Station for crime prevention and security purposes. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to PBGEN Neil B. Alinsangan, PNP Regional Director-Regional Office IX, for information and favorable consideration; to PLTCOL Khisna B.
