RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0095 (Sponsor: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety) " A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (NBI)-ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR DISTRICT OFFICE TO CONDUCT A PARALLEL INVESTIGATION ON THE SHOOTING INCIDENT WHICH TOOK PLACE AT THE GATED PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT COMPLEX, BARANGAY DAO, THIS CITY, LAST OCTOBER 18, 2022, RESULTING TO THE DEATH OF A CERTAIN RONIE A. NAONG, IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PEACE AND ORDER SITUATION OF THE CITY" WHEREAS, on or about 4:35 in the afternoon of October 18, 2022, a shooting incident took place at the gated Provincial Government Complex at Barangay Dao, this city, where a certain Ronie A. Naong, a resident of Barangay Betinan, Municipality of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, was reportedly killed; WHEREAS, it is the intention of this august body to exhort all concerned government law enforcement agencies to investigate this highly deplorable act and bring those responsible to the bar of justice at the soonest possible time in the best interest of the peace and order situation of the city, hence, requesting the NBI-Zamboanga del Sur District Office to conduct a parallel investigation on the incident is most imperative; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body requests the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Zamboanga del Sur District Office to conduct a parallel investigation relative to the shooting incident last October 18, 2022 at the gated Provincial Government Complex at barangay Dao, this city, resulting in the instantaneous death of a certain Ronie A. Naong. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the NBI Zamboanga del Sur District Office, through its Agent-In-Charge, HA Joey B. Moran, for information and favorable consideration; the Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, and the City Legal Officer, Atty. Georgina L. Ariosa - Lopez, for their information and guidance.
