RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0091 (Sponsor: Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo) " A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER THE EXTENSION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE MELENGAS DANCE ENSEMBLE RELATIVE TO THEIR ATTENDANCE TO THE "TA(Y)O: DALOY NG KATAUHAN, INDAK, NG PAGKAKAKILANLAN" LAST OCTOBER 19, 2022 AT THE CULTURAL CENTER OF THE PHILIPPINES (CCP) MAIN THEATER LOBBY, TO HELP DEFRAY NECESSARY EXPENSES RELATED TO THEIR PARTICIPATION" WHEREAS, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, have made a premiere night of its project "TA(Y)O: Daloy ng Katauhan, Indak, ng Pagkakakilanlan" last October 19, 2022, and invited the "Melengas Dance Ensemble" of the Zamboanga del Sur National High School to represent the City of Pagadian to the said occasion; WHEREAS, in recognition of the "Melengas Dance Ensemble's" participation duly representing the City of Pagadian wherein they have showed their skills in performing folkloric acts and preservation of folk and indigenous arts and, considering the financial expenses they spent for the said event, this body finds it most proper to extend financial assistance to at least help contribute to their expenses, chargeable against appropriate funds sources of the City Government hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo, be it RESOLVED to earnestly request, as this body hereby earnestly requests the Honorable City Mayor to favorably consider the extension of financial assistance to the Melengas Dance Ensemble relative to their attendance to the "Ta(Y)O: Daloy ng Katauhan, Indak, ng Pagkakakilanlan" last October 19, 2022 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Main Theater lobby, to help defray necessary expenses related to their participation. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information and favorable consideration; the City Budget Officer, the City Accountant, the City Treasurer, the City Auditor, and Ms. Fe Alvarez-Bibanco, EdD, Secondary Principal-IV, Zamboanga del Sur National High School, for their information and guidance.
