" A RESOLUTION URGING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY (DTI)-- ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR PROVINCIAL OFFICE TO LOOK INTO AND/OR CLOSELY MONITOR THE ALLEGED UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES OF RETAILERS OF SOFT DRINKS AND OTHER RELATED BEVERAGES IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN PURPOSELY TO PROTECT THE INTERESTS OF THE CONSUMING PUBLIC"
WHEREAS, the attention of this august body has been caught on the alleged unfair practices of some retailers of soft drinks and other related beverages in the city where, accordingly, they can suddenly increase prices of the same on their own volition-which practice, if tolerated and left unattended, is contrary to the government's campaign for a just and reasonable commerce; 
WHEREAS, given the foregoing predicament, there is thus a need for the proper government agencies to institute appropriate preemptive and corrective measures to protect the consuming public from any unfair trade practices, hence, commissioning the Department of Trade of Industry-being the proper agency-to look into and closely monitor such unfair practices is most appropriate at this prevailing circumstance; 

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Hon. Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it;

RESOLVED to urge, as this body hereby urges the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Zamboanga del Sur provincial Office to look into and/or closely monitor the alleged unfair trade practices of retailers of soft drinks and other related beverages in the Cit of Pagadian purposely to protect the interests of the consuming public.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Provincial Director Flora G. Miraflor, DTI-Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office, for immediate favorable attention/action; and to the Honorable City Mayor, for support and follow-up.
