RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0080 (Sponsor: Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER THE EXTENSION OF ALL NECESSARY SUPPORT TO THE PAGADIAN CITY SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE--DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (DEPED), THIS CITY, IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONDUCT OF A TWO-DAY ASSISTANCE FOR PWD'S OF DEPED-PAGADIAN CITY" WHEREAS, in line with the mandate under Republic Act 10754, otherwise known as "An Act Expanding the Benefits and Privileges of Persons with Disability (PWD), the Pagadian City Schools Division Office-Department of Education, in support thereto, has come up with an initiative by conducting a Two-Day Assistance for PWDs of DepEd-Pagadian City, where various activities have been lined-up including Free Health Consultation; Registration to National List of PWDs and Philhealth; Assistance to the issuance of PWDs Identification (ID) Card; and Education on the PWDs right and privileges, among others; WHEREAS, in view of the foregoing, the Pagadian City Schools Division Office through Mr. Alvic s. Roda, RN, PWD Division Focal Person, by way of a letter-request, has sought the support and assistance from this august body for the successful conduct of the above-mentioned activities; WHEREAS, given the importance and urgency of the foregoing request, this body, knowing the City Chief Executive's wide discretion of the city's local funds, deems it appropriate and in order for the City Government to extend all necessary support to the Pagadian City Schools Division Office-DepED for the purpose, hence, this recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to favorably consider the extension of all necessary support to the Pagadian City Schools Division Office-Department of Education (DEPED), this city, in connection with the conduct of a Two-Day Assistance for PWD's of DepEd-Pagadian City. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable consideration; and to the Department of Education-Pagadian City Schools Division Office through Mr. Alvic s. Roda, RN, PWD Division Focal Person, for information and guidance.
