RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0061 (Sponsor: Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO EXTEND TWENTY THOUSAND (P20,000.00) PESOS AS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MRS. MARGIE REMANDABAN AQUINO--THE ACKNOWLEDGED MRS. PAGADIAN CITY UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2022 AND THE OFFICIAL CANDIDATE OF PAGADIAN CITY TO THE MRS. UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2022--TO HELP THE DEFRAY NECESSARY EXPENSES INCIDENTAL TO HER PARTICIPATION" WHEREAS, Ms. Margie Remandaban Aquino, a resident of Alta Tierra Subdivision, Barangay Tiguma, this city, is acknowledged by Mrs. Universe Philippines, through National Director Maria Charo Calalo, as Mrs. Pagadian City Universe Philippines 2022 and the official candidate of the city to the national pageant known as "Mrs. Universe Philippines 2022; WHEREAS, during the Coronation Night held at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom, Paranaque, Metro Manila, last October 02, 2022, Mrs. Aquino was proclaimed 1st Runner-Up--a feat that brought honor and prestige not only to her family but to the City of Pagadian as well; WHEREAS, in recognition of her triumph and in consideration of the financial expenses she had incurred during her participation, this body supports the intention of the Honorable City Mayor to extend the amount of P20,000.00 as financial assistance to at least help contribute to her expenses incidental to her participation, chargeable against appropriate funds sources of the City Government; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesus B. Bajamunde, Jr., be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to extend Twenty Thousand (P20,000.00) Pesos as financial assistance to Mrs. Margie Remandaban Aquino--the acknowledged Mrs. Pagadian City Universe Philippines 2022 and the official candidate of Pagadian City to the Mrs. Universe Philippines 2022--to help defray the necessary expenses incidental to her participation. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for information and favorable consideration; the City Budget Officer, the City Accountant, the City Treasurer, the City Auditor, and Mrs. Margie Remandaban Aquino, for their information and guidance.
