RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0058 (Sponsor: Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO, IN HIS CONCURRING CAPACITY AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF PAGADIAN CITY INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (PCIC), TO ENTER AND SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE WESTERN MINDANAO STATE UNIVERSITY-EXTERNAL STUDIES UNIT (WMSU-ESU), PAGADIAN CITY CAMPUS, AND THE 9TH REGIONAL COMMUNITY DEFENSE GROUP, RESERVE COMMAND, KUTA DAO, THIS CITY, IN RELATION TO THE AFFILIATION OF PCIC ROTC STUDENTS TO THE WMSU-ESU ROTC PROGRAM" WHEREAS, in acquiescence with the necessities for the Reserved Officers Training Course (ROTC), the Pagadian City International College (PCIC) has sought for the affiliation of its ROTC students with the Western Mindanao State University - External Studies Unit (WMSU-ESU), Pagadian City Campus, which request was favorably considered by the said institution; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful pursuance of the foregoing endeavor, the forging of a Memorandum of Understanding by and between the Pagadian City International College (PCIC), the Western Mindanao State University - External Studies Unit (WMSU-ESU) and the 9th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserved Command, is necessary where the duties and responsibilities of all parties have been stipulated--such that a request for authority to enter into the same has been sought by the Honorable City Mayor, which requests merited the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Sam Tyra F. Co, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co, in his concurring capacity as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Pagadian City International College (PCIC), to enter and sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Western Mindanao State University-External Studies Unit (WMSU-ESU), Pagadian City Campus, and the 9th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Kuta Dao, this city, in relation to the affiliation of PCIC ROTC students to the WMSU-ESU ROTC program. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, in his concurring capacity as Chairman of the PCIC Board of Trustees, for favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; to the WMSU-ESU through its President, Dr. Ma. Carla A. Ochotorena, Ph.D, Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City; and the Group Commander, 9RCDG, RESCOM, PA and Director of 901st (ZDS) Community Defense Center, 9th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, COL Patricio S. Tomales INF (GSC) PA and CPT Efren A. Pacana (ARM) PA, Kuta Dao, Barangay Dao, this City, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
