Lim, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE LEGAL OPINION OF THE PROVINCIAL DIRECTOR OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR FIELD OFFICE, ON THE MATTER CONCERNING THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD'S MANDATE UNDER PARAGRAPH (c), SECTION 80 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991, FOR ITS INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE" WHEREAS, pursuant to Paragraph (c), Section 80 of Republic Act No. 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the Personnel Selection Board shall be headed by the Local Chief Executive, and its members shall be determined by a resolution of the Sanggunian concerned; WHEREAS, to properly define the authority of the Sangguniang Panlungsod with regard to the selection and determination of the members who shall compose the Personnel Selection Board of the City Government of Pagadian, it is cogently necessary for this body to get clarified on the above-cited provision by way of a legal opinion from the Provincial Director of the Civil Service Commission for its proper guidance, hence, this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim Jr., be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the legal opinion of the Provincial Director of the Civil Service Commission, Zamboanga del Sur Field Office, on the matter concerning the Sangguniang Panlungsod's mandate under Paragraph (c), Section 80 of the Local Government Code of 1991, for its information and guidance. RESOLVED FURTHER to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Provincial Director Sarah L. Amores-Batoy, Civil Service Commission-Zamboanga del Sur Field Office, Santo Nino District, this city, for information, guidance and appropriate action; and to the Honorable City Mayor, for information.
