RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0052 (Sponsored by: Committee on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO GRANT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, CHARGEABLE AGAINST APPROPRIATE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY THOUSAND (P50,000.00) PESOS TO THE 53RD INFANTRY BATTALION, CAMP MAJOR DAVID SABIDO, GUIPOS, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF SPARE PARTS FOR USE OF THE MILITARY TRUCK DEPLOYED IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN, SUBJECT TO THE USUAL ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING RULES AND REGULATIONS" WHEREAS, the maintenance of peace and order in our locality being one of the primary concerns in achieving further developments was made conceivable due to the felt presence of the personnel of the 53rd Infantry Battalion who have positively provided the support mechanism to assure the public of their safety; WHEREAS, LTC Terence P. Ylanan INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 53rd Infantry (MATAPAT) Battalion, by way of a letter-request, sought financial assistance from the City Government for the purchase of spare parts for use in the repair of their military truck deployed in the city which will be utilized in the conduct of security patrolling at night, which letter was favorably transmitted by the Honorable City Mayor to this Sanggunian for consideration; WHEREAS, this body, consistent with the City Government's program, advocacy and commitment to the peace and security of its locality and in consideration of the recommendation of the Committee on Finance and Appropriations-to which said matter was initially referred-finds it imperative to clothe the City Chief Executive with the necessary authority to extend such financial assistance chargeable against appropriate fund sources of the City Government and subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations; NOW, THEREFORE, on motion presented by Honorable Ma. Alicia Elena V. Ariosa, duly seconded, it was RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to grant financial assistance, chargeable against appropriate fund sources of the City Government, in the amount of Fifty Thousand (P50,000.00) Pesos to the 53rd Infantry Battalion, Camp Major David Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, for the procurement of spare parts for use of the military truck deployed in the City of Pagadian, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his information and appropriate action; to the City Budget Officer; the City Accountant; the City Treasurer; the City Auditor; and to LTC Terence P. Ylanan INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 53rd Infantry (MATAPAT) Battalion, Philippine Army, Camp Major David Sabido, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur, for information. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
