"A RESOLUTION ENJOINING ALL 54 PUNONG BARANGAYS WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF PAGADIAN CITY TO SUBMIT THEIR RESPECTIVE ANNUAL BUDGET TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD, THROUGH THE CITY BUDGET OFFICER, FOR REVIEW IN FAITHFUL COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 333 OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7160 BETTER KNOWN AS THE "LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991""

WHEREAS, the barangay budget--which serves as an instrument of the barangay officials to effectively accomplish and attain the social, political and economic goals for the general welfare of their constituents--shall be prepared in accordance with Section 329 to Section 334 of the Local Government Code of 1991 and consistent with the pertinent rules and regulations and other issuances of competent agencies of the national government;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 318 of the Local Government Code of 1991, the Punong Barangay who fails to submit the budget on or before the 16th of October of the current fiscal year shall be subjected to such criminal and administrative penalties as may be provided by the Local Government Code of 1991 and other applicable laws;
WHEREAS, premises considered, there is a need to enjoin the Punong Barangays within the territorial jurisdiction of Pagadian City to strictly comply with the aforesaid pertinent provisions of the Code, the implementing rules and regulations of the Code and the pertinent rules and regulations and other issuances of competent agencies of the government;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion presented by Honorable Ma. Alicia Elena V. Ariosa, duly seconded, it was 

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved to enjoin all Punong Barangays within the territorial jurisdiction of Pagadian City to submit their respective annual budget to the Sangguniang Panlungsod, through the City Budget Officer, for review in faithful compliance with Section 333 of Republic Act No. 7160 better known as the "Local Government Code of 1991." 

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished to the 54 Punong Barangays of Pagadian City, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action; to the Liga ng mga Barangay President Honorable Jurofer P. Pulmones, for widest dissemination; to the City Budget Officer; and to the Honorable City Mayor for their information and guidance 
APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
