RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0034 (Sponsor: Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr.) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO DIRECT THE APPROPRIATE CITY GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT/OFFICES TO CONDUCT A THOROUGH STUDY RELATIVE TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A SAFE, CLEAN AND SECURE WATER SOURCE AT THE PAGADIAN CITY PUBLIC MARKET (AGORA)" WHEREAS, stall holders or market vendors inside the Agora Market expressed concern over the available water they are using for cleaning and/or washing their products where information revealed that the water source is a deep well which is accordingly has not been subjected to any water microbial examination; WHEREAS, consistent with its thrust and mandate to ensure the safety and health of the consuming public, it is the primordial duty of the City Government of Pagadian to provide clean and potable water for use in City Public Market to ensure all products, whether meat, fish and vegetables, are safe for human consumption, hence, requesting the City Chief Executive to direct the concerned City Government department/offices for the purpose is appropriate and in order; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Ariel J. Lim, Jr., be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to direct the appropriate City Government department/offices to conduct a thorough study relative to the implementation of a safe, clean and secure water source at the Pagadian City Public Market (AGORA). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; and all concerned offices, for their information and guidance. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
